A happy very, very belated 19th birthday to me.

19. What an odd age. I prefer 18, if you ask me. 16 is nice too. Heck, I'll even settle for 17. Anything but the number that signals the impending arrival of the big 2-0. Does anyone knows what this means? After this year, the first digit of my age won't be 1 anymore. Not until I turn 100 anyway.

Oh goodness I feel so old...

But on the bright side, there's the celebration. Celebrations, actually.

There's nothing like getting onto a thrill ride to scream your head off and temporarily distract yourself from your age. Escape Theme Park is a pathetic little thing, but it's the only thing that this country has. Until the IR comes around in a few years, that is. There're going to be amusement parks in the IR, right next to (or in between or outside) the casinos right? Can't wait.

After being thrown upside down and all over by the ride. I wasn't thinking clearly after the ride, so excuse me for acting cute with the V-sign and all.

And hey, it's the... eyebag brigade. All of us have such heavy eyebags! Or is it just the lighting or the camera? Or is this proof that the average Singaporean youth doesn't get enough sleep? In any case, from left: Zhenbin, Zoe, Me, CK.

Zoe and me.

Me and Mr. Botak.

After Escape, we went for dinner, and Danny (Zoe's guy) joined us. He would have joined us for the Escape outing, but he got confined. Oh well. After dinner, we all went to my place for cake, games, drinks and chit-chat. In case you're wondering what's written on the cake, it says "Happy 19TH Birthday to Chelle".

And I thought I was getting tanned.

On my actual birthday, which is the 6th, I celebrated at my workplace. I'm not sure whether it's legal to post pictures of the children here. But it wouldn't be nice. If I were a parent, I wouldn't want my child's picture to show up on some blog that I don't know of. And so... there's only the pictures where it's just me.

Two chocolate cakes within only a few days! All that sugar... oh gosh.

So many candles... what a hassle. At least next year I'll have just two candles.

And since we're on the subject of birthdays, guess who also had two candles on their birthday cake? Maple! Yeah, it's Maple's 2nd anniversary, and even though I haven't played for ages, I still like it.

From left: Danny, Zoe, CK, me. We went to Suntec to take a look at the celebrations. Exciting enough, but only if you're a 10-year-old. So you can imagine how thrilled we were. We stayed to watch the cake-cutting ceremony, check out the lame games, and then we left to go to... Max Brenner's Chocolate Bar! It's this really really really nice chocolate place at the Esplanade. The fondue and the suckao... heavenly. Must try!

Okay... so this wraps up the Birthday Issue. Next up: Korea! Stay tuned!
